Step back in time and experience the rustic romance of a by-gone era, beautifully preserved and restored in the charming Cottage at Swathmoor. Listed on the National Historic Register, the Cottage at Swathmoor has been in the proprietor’s family for more than 100 years.
Our private cottage has all the amenities of a modern bed and breakfast, without the shared common spaces. Your stay will be exclusive to you, giving you time and space to relax and recharge.
Situated on more than 300 acres on the outskirts of Mebane, North Carolina, the uniqueness of this location will allow you to unplug from your worries completely, while remaining close to stores/restaurants in the event of an emergency. Only a few minutes from the I-85/40 corridor, you will be less than 30 minutes from both the Triad and the Triangle.
What To Do?
Since Swathmoor is a working farm, we will take care of the chores while you enjoy a change of pace. Take a walk around the grounds. Visit the main house. Check out the creek and waterfalls. Mosey around the pastures, explore the barns. Head on down to the pond and try your luck at fishing. Or scoot into town for some afternoon shopping at local boutiques or at the large outlet just minutes away. It’s your time. There is no hurry.
