Know your Farmer

Mendy and Johnny Jeffreys are active members of the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association.

As a member of the Animal Science Board at local Alamance Community College, Mendy has set up a program for students that gives them the option to participate in her interactive classes. Swathmoor Farm provides interested students with a location and opportunity to learn fundamentals regarding general cattle, low-stress cattle handling, and eco-friendly intensive grazing practices.

Also BQA certified (Beef Quality Assurance – the gold standard in meat classification), Mendy practices her agricultural strategies in accordance with all BQA regulations.
